The Music City PHiNs ParrotHead club Christmas Party and December Happy Hour will be ‘Brunch with Santa’ on Sunday, December 13, 11AM thru 2PM at Barefoot Charlie’s in Hendersonville, TN. (Click for map) There will be a steel drum band in the background to set the light hearted mood for the day, Santa will be taking Christmas wishes and handing out goodies for the kids and they will have a donation bin for toys, to be donated to the less fortunate little ones. (They originally said the toys would go to the ‘Toys for Tots’ foundation but later said the toys would be distributed by ‘The Good Samaritan Group’ local charity. Either way the toys will go to needy kids.) The brunch menu not only includes classic bacon-n-egg style breakfasts, but also a couple of signature dishes that you won’t find at other brunches. The Titans game will be on screens around the restaurant and drink specials include Bud Lt. & Miller Lt. drafts for only $1.50!

It’s the first studio album from Buffett since “Take The Weather With You” was released October 10th, 2006. The new CD is produced by Coral Reefers Mike Utley and Mac McAnally and contains 12 new songs. Guest artists include Sonny Landreth, Jake Shimabukuro, Cedric Burnside, Steve Lightnin’ Malcolm and Toumani Diabate.

3. Big Top
4. Beautiful Swimmers
5. Turn Up The Heat And Chill The Rosé
6. Summerzcool
7. Rhumba Man
8. We Learned To Be Cool From You
9. Surfing In A Hurricane
10. Life Short Call Now

Margaritaville Rum, which was announced in late 2007 and supposed to be in stores in the fall of 2008, is finally being shipped to some locations in mid-Nov 2009. It comes in four flavors: Coconut, Spiced, Silver and Dark. I called two Nashville liquor dealers, Frugal MacDoogal’s and J. Barleycorn’s, on Nov 19th and they said it has not been distributed in middle Tennessee yet but expect it to arrive late Nov or early Dec.
Phins Up ParrotHeads and Happy Holidays Y’all!

Spring has Sprung…………….or has it??? Come on out for our April Hump Day Happy Hour on Wednesday the 22nd at 6 PM and find out!!!
We’re heading back to that tropical haven up in Hendersonville on the shore of Old Hickory Lake! That’s right, it’s BAREFOOT CHARLIE’S (Island Attitude Local Latitude) and it’s perfect for phlocking around!
It’s got colorful, beach decor, right down to the Landshark surfboard on the wall. It’s got a center bar with games on the right side and dining tables on the left (the menu looks yummy). There’s a nice big deck/patio too that overlooks the water – awesome in the summer I bet….almost there!! And they’ve got live music on Wednesday nights starting at 7:30pm. It’s easy to find – right off of Gallatin Road on Sanders Ferry Road. Click for map.
HEY!! We’ve got new members ya’all!!! Come out and share a brew and some great music with your fellow parrot heads, and WELCOME our 12 newest phlockers!
* Tracy and Hollis Collins
* Priscilla and Terry Lehman
* Brian and Stephanie Nagashima
* Merwin and Crystal Ullestad
* Jim Cozart
* Suzy Bennett
* Leah Sartino
* Terry Holder
And while you’re at it…..we’ve chosen 2 CHARITIES, close to home, that we hope you’ll participate in!!!
1. Our former president, Debra, has written a proposal for raising money for a very distressed and victimized colleague. Details were in the email attachment sent in the Happy Hour announcement email. Email me at info@mcphins.com if you deleted the email and wish to see the attachment again.
2. Our charity director, Tina, is asking us to reach out to our neighbors in Murfreesboro who were recent victims of the Good Friday tornado. The American Red Cross is accepting donations to distribute to those in immediate need.
If either of these causes brings out the Parrot Head in you – join us next Wednesday to Party With a Purpose. We will be collecting cash, checks or gift card donations the whole evening. It’s what we do, it’s who we are.
I’m looking forward to seeing ya ~ Cheers!
Kat
